Here at True Heart Equine, the main goal is to teach and empower others.
We provide trail riding, educational lessons, pony parties at your home, wedding and funeral events, pony visits to schools and nursing homes, and clinics of all sorts; Whether you are a beginner just getting started, an intermediate rider looking to expand your knowledge, or someone who has been around horses in the past but had a scary experience. We are here for what ever you need!
Never been on a horse? NO Problem!
Our horses are very well trained and are used to beginner riders. If you are seeking to get back into horses, or want to get started for the first time, we can accommodate you! Lessons are taught year round from the middle of the winter to the warm summers!
We offer guided trail rides for those horse enthusiasts who wish to experience horseback riding through scenic central Iowa. Our lesson program is for ages 3 on up. We fully believe in a hands-on approach through grooming, saddling, bridling, feeding, and riding of an assigned horse. Pony Parties bring you an extra fun activity to offer to every age of birthday boy and girl. Wedding events grant you an exciting and surprising new take on being walked down the aisle. Funeral venues allow for a respectful send off of a loved one, usually a veteran, with either a full mounted color guard, or a riderless horse being led by the handler of your choice.
This business was started humbly but with a grand plan: To create a safe haven for people of all ages, abilities, and needs to come receive mentorship from two- and four-legged teachers. And with nothing but a few horses and this dream, we've grown to this point where we service the greater metros of Cedar Rapids and Iowa City both.

Hey there, I'm Kelee.
I was raised a suburban kid near Minneapolis, Minnesota and was never given much opportunity to interact with horses. But, oh did they call to my soul! When I was 6, on my younger sister's golden birthday at 4 years old, I remember being so upset that she got ponies for her party even though "I was the one who likes horses!". I told my parents I wanted a pony for my golden birthday but they chuckled and informed me I would be 26 before that happened.
I don't think they could ever imagine that by the time my golden birthday rolled around, I would already have built an entire equine business up from the ground for the past eight years AND ended up getting myself that birthday pony!
So now that we've established that my love for horses runs deep...
My only goal through running this business is to make horses feasible for everyone; regardless of monetary status, lack of physical or mental ability, fear/anxiety, or just about anything else that's stopping you!
