Before You Arrive

There is no need to arrive early. Because True Heart Equine operates on private property and does not have a public waiting area, please do not arrive more than 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment.

If you arrive a few minutes early, please park in the designated guest parking area and wait there. Our staff may still be caring for horses, preparing for your appointment, or finishing with another group. We will meet you when your scheduled appointment begins.

Your reservation begins and ends at the exact time you booked. Arriving early does not mean an early start, and arriving late does not extend your reservation. Late arrivals receive the remaining portion of their scheduled time. Guests arriving more than 15 minutes late will forfeit their reservation.

Please follow the posted signs for GUEST PARKING when you arrive.

Do not pull into the house garage parking.

Once parked, please remain in the designated guest area until a staff member greets you. Please do not wander around the property, enter the barn, approach horses, open gates, or enter pastures without a staff member.

True Heart Equine is both a working horse facility and private property. We appreciate your help respecting the people and animals who call it home!

Please dress for the weather and wear comfortable clothing appropriate for horseback riding and being around a working farm.

Closed-toe AND closed-heel shoes are required around horses. Riding boots are great but are not required. Tennis shoes and muck boots are acceptable. Sandals, flip-flops, Crocs, and other open or unsecured shoes are not appropriate for riding.

Long pants are recommended. Jeans, leggings, sweatpants, or other comfortable riding-appropriate pants work well.

Riders under 18 are required to wear an approved riding helmet while mounted. We have helmets available. Personal helmets must be ASTM/SEI-certified equestrian helmets. Bicycle helmets cannot be substituted.

Horseback riding is an outdoor activity, so please dress appropriately for the day's conditions.

We generally continue scheduled activities whenever conditions are safe. Activities may be modified, moved, rescheduled, or canceled when weather creates a safety concern for our horses, riders, or staff.

We do not ride horses in temperatures below 10°F or above 100°F.

Rain or storms do not automatically mean lessons are canceled. Depending on conditions, lessons may include indoor or alternative horsemanship activities.

If we need to cancel or reschedule your appointment because of weather, we will contact you. Unless you hear from us, please plan to attend your scheduled appointment.

Our appointments reserve horses, staff, and time specifically for you. Because of this, advance notice is required to cancel or reschedule.

Late cancellations and no-shows may be charged the full reservation amount and may not be eligible for credit.

True Heart Equine does not issue refunds for booked riding appointments. When applicable under our cancellation policy, a credit, rain check, gift certificate, or rescheduled appointment may be provided instead.

If True Heart Equine cancels an activity because conditions are unsafe, appropriate credit or rescheduling options will be provided.

For everyone's safety, guests must follow staff instructions while visiting True Heart Equine. Children and accompanying guests must remain supervised at all times.

Please do not run, yell, climb on fences or gates, enter stalls or pastures, open gates, feed horses, or handle horses or equipment without permission.

All required liability waivers must be completed before participating. Riders who disregard safety instructions may be asked to dismount or have their session ended.

Smoking is not permitted in or around the barn or horse areas.
